TV Azteca: In the process of reinventing our content and products

TV Azteca officially introduced Fernando Muñiz as Director of Distribution and Strategic Alliances of the company within the framework of the LA Screenings. Muñiz spoke about the challenges and first steps he is taking in this position, including a change of image and rebranding of the network channels, as well as a reinvention of its contents.

“We are in the process of reinventing our content and products in order to bring a better offer. We are starting to reorganize the pay-TV business, not only on linear, but also streaming. We are doing a makeover and renaming the existing channels. The changes will be available in June along with the new offer.”

He highlighted that the Mundo channel will become Azteca Internacional, plus a makeover of the graphic package of its signals and “that they will work on the contents of each one. “Soon the content will also be not only on linear but in FAST channels of the different platforms. We do not have any limitation to sell or distribute to other windows.”

Finally, he referred to windowing, considering it as one of the most important moves. “By having different products or just one to take to other windows, you can use them for the benefit of greater product profitability, and at the same time you can approach different types of customers. This strategy will be seen in the content that we will launch, which is first released on linear channels and then goes to FAST.”
