TV Azteca announced the appointment of two new executives as part of the reinvention the company is conducting, started by its CEO, Benjamín Salinas, two years ago. The two executives are Sandra Smester, who will be the new EVP of Programming at Azteca Uno; and Adrián Ortega Echegollén, VP of Programming at Azteca 7 and Cable. Both executives will report directly to Alberto Ciurana, who was appointed general director of Content and Distribution at TV Azteca last week.
Smester has experience in programming and television contents, having held directive positions in those áreas for more than 21 years at Univision, including the most recent one as EVP of Programming.
For his part, Ortega Echegollén has experience in multiplatform programming and promotion, performing content activities, as well as programming and transmedia campaigns at Televisa for more than 13 years.
