TV Azteca achieved a 6% increase in market participation in 2016 in Mexican TV
TV Azteca presented a balance of their achievements throughout 2016, together with the managerial team, led by Benjamín Salinas, CEO of the company, highlighting growth in the primetime schedule, with projects like Hasta Que te Conocí and MasterChef México.
For the company, 2016 was characterized for having the greatest movement and strengthening of open TV in Mexico, where TV Azteca continued gaining audience preference, increasing its market participation in 6%, compared to 2015.
The increase in primetime from Monday to Friday was 9% in market participation, whereas on weekends it reached 10%.
The main achievements include Azteca 7’s new programming proposals, and the change in Azteca Trece and Proyecto 40 to digital TV. Additionally, they have added international productions such as Hasta que Te Conocí, Rosario Tijeras, Entre Correr y Vivir, Celia, ¿Qué Hay de Comer?, Cocineros Mexicanos, Enamorándonos, Las Tardes con la Bigorra, Después de Todo, MasterChef Junior, MasterChef and La Isla.
For 2017 they will have launches such as Grandes Chicos, starting January 29, on Azteca Trece, and the incorporation of Patricio Borghetti to the morning program Venga la Alegría.
