Tony Ruiz has been appointed Local Sales manager for Telemundo 47 New York / WNJU. Ruizs first day at the station will be Monday, October 12. Ruiz is a seasoned expert in Hispanic consumer insights and brings a wealth of experience in this field to our station. His extensive agency and client experience, which includes developing and executing strategies to optimize business in todays Hispanic consumer marketing sphere, will help our station engage with new clients and reshape the Hispanic market conversation in the New York Tri-State area, says Liliana Aristizábal, VP of Sales, Telemundo 47 New York in a memo to her staff.Ruiz joins Telemundo 47 from Commonground/MGS, where he worked as SVP. Before this and for most of his career, Ruiz worked at The Vidal Partnership as partner and Chief Strategic Officer growing and developing major advertising accounts such as Nissan USA, Heineken USA, Wendys International, MasterCard, Home Depot, JC Penney, NFL, Sprint, DIRECTV, Diageo, Johnson & Johnson and TD Bank, among others. He has also worked at Saatchi & Saatchis Conill Advertising, McDonalds and SFM.
