Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News are presenting the Hispanic Television Summit again as a one-day conference this Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Marriott Marquis New York Hotel located in Times Square, New York City. The Hispanic television industrys signature conference has been presented each autumn since 2003. This years date of October 3 will be in the midst of a week of activities for the Advertising industry as thousands of media executives descend upon New York. The Summit has become a must attend event for those in the business of television and digital video targeted to the US Hispanic and Latin American viewing audience. Last year, the Hispanic Television Summit attracted 500 attendees from across the country, Latin America and Spain. This years event is expected to meet or exceed prior attendance records.This year edition of the Summit will begin with a one-on-one keynote interview with Univision Networks president, César Conde, about the current impact of the increasing influence of the Hispanic TV audience on business, community, and culture.Also this year in the Keynote interview with a leading advertiser, Alfredo Rodríguez, VP of Marketing for Dish will discuss the companys increasing focus on the Hispanic viewer. At the Awards luncheon, Telemundo news anchor, José Díaz-Balart will receive the 2012 Award for Outstanding Achievement in Hispanic TV. And, Comcast Cable will be recognized for a its commitment to serving the Hispanic audience with the first-ever Leadership in Hispanic Television Award.
