Soraya Sánchez, founder of ES Televisión, told PRODU that last week they launched the online channel {Puerto Rico SeVé;www.puertoricoseve.com} aimed at Puerto Ricans who live in the US. This was an initiative spearheaded by Sánchez together with the TV consultant Froyd Rivera and the entrepreneurs Emilio Morales y Andrés Jaramillo.”This is the first online screening channel exclusively in Spanish and with Latin products. Puerto Rico is the second most important market in the US, because we are going to reach approximately five million people with the programming currently seen in Puerto Rico that natives who live abroad want to see, stated Sánchez.He mentioned they will carry out a strong promotional campaign during Hispanity week in October and they will place special emphasis on the cities where there are more Puerto Ricans, with events particularly aimed at this audience. We will attend with talent from the programs, he said. They already have alliances with Telemundo Puerto Rico and Sistema TV and are in conversations with other TV stations and content producers to reach 20 hours of programming per day. In the initial offer of eight hours per day, they have the programs Dando Candela, Jugando Pelota Dura, Alexandra de Noche, Borinqueando, Papi en Casa and Chef Piñeiro. They also have several original production programs.They signed an agreement with the Corporación de Cine de Puerto Rico to place an excellent package of Puerto Rican films starting in October.The subscription cost is US$4.99 per month.
