The dubbing company, The Kitchen, celebrates 20 years in which they went from the analog times, when tapes were sent through FedEx and working with Betacam machines and transcoders, to the end-to-end digital era just about six years ago.

In two decades, The Kitchen grew from a three-person staff to more than 100 full-time and hundreds part-time team members and freelancers around the world. They started with three dubbing booths in Miami, and now they have 17 locally, and another 50 globally.

“Our talent base has grown around the world, offering continuous training at many of our studio operations in the territories we serve,” says Ken Lorber. They currently have 14 offices (Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Moldova, Russia, Turkey, MENA, Hungary, Israel and the US), as well as a European translation department in the UK, and a commercial European office in Spain.

“Our global management team includes some of the most talented and experienced professionals in all areas of the business, from engineering and technology to sales and marketing and everything in between,” says Lorber. “We are not the largest language localization studio, but we feel that we are among the best. Our personal guarantee of customer service is part of who we are. We believe in old-fashioned personalized service and we really do answer our phones 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”
