The second season of WAPA TVs Idol Puerto Rico began transmissions on July 29 to audiences in San Juan with satisfactory results, according to Nielsen. The reality show reached a majority audience across all demographics, reaching an average of 45% of the share during the two-hour show. Within Households, Idol Puerto Rico registered 32.5% of the share, versus 21.4% by Univision and 13% by Telemundo. Among Women 18 to 49, WAPA received 44.6% of the share while Univision reached 2.4% and Telemundo 7.9%.The program received 36.5% among Men 18 to 49, versus 17% for Telemundo and 10.4% for Univision. Among People overall of 19 to 49 years, the reality show by WAPA TV and Fremantle media reported a 41% of the share. In this demographic, Univision achieved 16.7% and Telemundo 11.7%. “The quality of the program, produced by WAPA TV and Fremantle Media, is of excellence.
