Televisa is ready to begin the production of Yago (65×60) on Wednesday February 9th in Mexico City, led by Carmen Armendáriz. The story that will replace El Hotel de los Secretos in May on Univision.This production is based on a Turkish story. It is a thriller with traces of love. It is centered on a man betrayed by his friends and his lover. They put him in jail for a year. There, he is beaten until his face is disfigured. Afterwards, he undergoes plastic surgery, and that is when there is a change of actor. He then returns seeking revenge. It will enter through Univision around May 17th, replacing El Hotel de los Secretos by Roberto Gómez Fernández, explained the producer.Armendáriz thinks this type of short stories are the answer to new global TV consumption habits, in which competition is not limited to Mexico, it is with other countries and other platforms. That is where we have to be and bet on new contents. In spite of this, there is still a big audience for classic stories and that is why they continue to be produced.Yago has a group of eight writers led by the Carmen Arméndariz herself and Larisa Andrade.
