Telemundos La Reina del Sur surpassed its Monday night premiere by 19% which was the network’s highest-rated original production premiere in Telemundo history and beat Univisións Aquí y Ahora and TeleFuturas India in every demographic with nearly three million total viewers (2,841,000), according to Nielsen Media Research. La Reina del Sur the most ambitious telenovela in network history filmed across four continents delivered nearly 2 million (1,880,000) Adults 18-49, up 23% from its premiere (vs. 1,534,000) and was the #2 program among all broadcast networks at 10pm in adults 18-34 and men 18-34, regardless of language. Additionally, La Reina del Sur outperformed both Univisión and TeleFutura in Adults 18-49 by 74% and 253%, respectively. The telenovela averaged 977,000 among women 18-49 (besting Univisión by 73% and TeleFutura by 280%) and among Women 18-34, Telemundo beat Univisión by 109% and TeleFutura by 372%. La Reina del Sur was #1 among Spanish-language stations among Adults 18-49 in New York, Miami, Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas and San Francisco. In Las Vegas, the novela was the #1 Spanish-language program among Households.
