Telemundo Puerto Rico/WKAQ announced the launch of its new Telemundo Responde (Telemundo Responds) consumer investigative unit, effective immediately. Charged with standing up for consumers who have been wronged, the new Telemundo Responde team will be headed by consumer investigative reporter, Zugey Lamela.Launched in 2014 by the Telemundo Station Group and across seven markets in the United States, the Telemundo Responde units have collectively received more than 13,000 tips, produced nearly 700 stories and recovered more than US$1 million for consumers in Los Angeles (KVEA), New York (WNJU), Miami-Fort Lauderdale (WSCV), Houston (KTMD), Dallas-Fort Worth (KXTX), San Antonio (KVDA) and the San Francisco Bay Area (KSTS).Telemundo Puerto Rico is dedicated to providing the best news and information for our viewers and todays announcement reinforces our commitment to serving the people of Puerto Rico.
