Telemundo Puerto Rico celebrates its 63rd anniversary

Sixty three years ago Telemundo Puerto Rico broadcast Telenoticias for the first time on March 28, 1954 at 6:45pm with Evelio Otero. Telemundo, previously called WKAQ TV, became the first TV station in Puerto Rico.

Its founder was Ángel Ramos, who made the channel´s first broadcast possible on March 28, 1954. The channel´s first facilities were on Street number 5 in Puerta de Tierra. Later, the team moved to their current facilities in Hato Rey.
