Produced exclusively for the Hispanic audience, the Telemundo Olympic broadcast, led by sportscaster Andrés Cantor, delivered a total cumulative viewership of 13.8 million total viewers through its first eight days of coverage, 22% more than the Beijing Olympics for the same period.Telemundos Saturday, July 28 Olympic delivery was #1 in Spanish-Language TV averaging 854,000 total viewers from 8am to 5pm, outperforming Univision by 58%. Likewise, on Sunday, July 29 from 7am to 6pm, Telemundo nearly doubled Univisions performance with 775, 000 total viewers.On Saturday, August 4, the broadcast of the Mexico vs. Senegal soccer match (9:30am) registered a 99% share of Spanish-language television in Los Angeles; 91% in San Francisco; 87% in New York; 83% in Dallas, and 76% in Houston. Nationally, the soccer match delivered 1.3M total viewers and 817,000 adults 18-49.Telemundo Media’s digital properties also posted strong results registering 706K visitors from July 25 to Aug 4. This generated 841K total visits (324% more than Beijing) with 999K streams (556% more than Beijing) and 8.6M page views (288% more than Beijing).
