Rashel Díaz and Idaly Ferrá, co-hosts of Levántate
Telemundo Communications Group announced that it will be moving its morning show Levántate (Monday through Friday at 7-10am) to its Miami, FL studios in early 2011 under Executive Producer Tony Mojena, producer of Telemundos highly rated Billboard Latin Music Awards.Moving the show to Miami after two years in Puerto Rico is a strategic investment by Telemundo to continue to grow the show and its viewership. By producing it in Miami, the network will make the show HD from day one and take advantage of the synergies of other network shows produced at the headquarters. Based in Miami, Levántate will be better positioned to leverage all of Telemundos platforms including the Telemundo Studios and the Telemundo stations, as well as Telemundos digital and network news operations. The Levántate team, together with our Puerto Rico stations general manager Hilary Hattler and her team, have done a fantastic job producing the show for two seasons in Puerto Rico and preparing it for the next stage in its evolution. We are looking forward to building on their work to take the show to the next level said Derek Bond, Senior Executive Vice President of Studios, Production, & Broadcast Operations. The Miami production will feature new sets, a new look, and new segments. The new location of the show will also provide new improved possibilities to maximize sponsorship and product integration opportunities.
