Telemundos Monday-Friday primetime programming delivered a 32% share among all Spanish-language broadcast networks in the second quarter of 2015, up six share points vs. last year among Adults 18-49, marking the best quarter in network history, according to Nielsen. The networks weekday primetime schedule averaged 758,000 Adults 18-49 in the second quarter of 2015, up 12% in the demo versus last year. Telemundo has also seen a growth in total viewers, averaging 1.52 million, a 7% increase vs. last year. This record-breaking quarter brings Telemundo closer than ever to its competition, as the network gained more viewers in the Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 demos than any other Spanish-language broadcast network. This marks the third consecutive quarter that the gap between Telemundo and Univision has decreased among Adults 18-49 (383,000 difference; 758,000 vs. 1,141,000) and millennial age 18-34 (160,000 difference; 350,000 vs. 510,000) Primetime ratings were driven by the success of Telemundos super series, El Señor De Los Cielos, which averaged 1.46 million viewers among Adults 18-49 and 731,000 viewers among Adults 18-34, premiere-to-date. The 10pm super series earned Telemundo the #1 network spot among adults 18-34 in the Monday-Friday time slot across all broadcast and cable networks.
