Mirta Romay, CEO of Teatrix
Teatrix is a theater VOD platform that has operated for two and a half years, whose headquarters are in Argentina. Mirta Romay, CEO of Teatrix, participated in NEXTV CEO Latin America in Miami.
“The platform is open and is not restricted to any market. We are very small and I come to this fair to seek those agreements and make ourselves known. Let everyone know we are open to integrating and reaching other countries. We are in the US through Broadway HD, in Mexico through Clarovideo; in Argentina, where we share the business model, we are with Cablevisión; and now closing a deal with Antel in Uruguay, which we will be part of,” explained Romay sister of Omar Romay, former owner of América TeVe. And the daughter of the late TV entrepreneur Alejandro Romay.
She expressed that right now, the platform has sixty plays –they started with eight— and are looking for investors to continue growing. “Most of the plays are from Argentina and others from Broadway HD, with whom we have a reciprocity relation. When you have a loyal user, such as Teatrix, you must grow rapidly,” she said.
