Karine Martin, CEO of Starlings Entertainment, announced its expansion to TV production, with the launch of Starlings Television, directed by the producer Chris Philip.

Since 2018, Philip has developed, co-produced and co-financed original scripted content for the company, such as the successful biographic film on Elton John, Rocketman, by Paramount.

The new division starts with two series already underway: Pandora, 13 episodes, science fiction for adults and youngsters at The CW Network, launched in the US and whose distribution is under the responsibility of Sony International; and Departure, that has 6 episodes, starring Christopher Plummer, produced by Shaftesbury (in partnership with Corus and Red Arrow Studios) for Global Television Network in Canada and NBC Universal Channels in specific international territories.

The producer has a vast career of partnerships for the development of outstanding contents. Philip was VP at Universal and PolyGram Filmed Entertainment. He launched Engine Entertainment and partnered with Ben Silverman, launching his international division. He acquired the rights in Spanish of the format Grand Hotel, whose version for the US will be aired in summer, and he is co-creator of the 10- episode thriller Duality, that Starlings will shoot in Mexico with Televisa as co-financer and co-producer.
