Nickelodeon Latin America invited a group of international media to the shooting of its most recent original production, Vikki RPM (60×60’), that they are making with Somos Productions.

The scenery is the karting track near Miami Homestead Speedway where the auto competitions of the stars take place. Mary Black, producer; William Barragán, director and Carla Gómez, supervising producer gave some details about the making.

Black and Somos Productions work for the second time with Nickelodeon. The first time was on the production 11:11, En Mi Cuadra Nada Cuadra.

“The experience is increasingly better. We loved this story and Nickelodeon liked it very much when we presented it to them. We have a fantastic cast. It has been delicious working with them; they are very collaborative and dedicated. The experience has been very nice and we hope to have many more like this,” commented Black.

For his part, Gómez highlighted that they will have 14 weeks of shooting. They are already on the fifth week. They are working with two produciton units. The shootings will be 70% in studios and the rest outdoors.

Vikki RPM is based on an original idea of Eduardo Jiménez-Pons and was written by Catharina Ledeboer (Grachi, Isa TKM) and Lara Martínez. The main actors are Samantha Siqueros, Stefano Ollivier, Leo Deluglio and Scarlet Gruber.

The series is a fun twist on the story of Romeo and Juliet, taking it to the racecourse in Ciudad del Este, where Max and Victoria compete and fall in love, despite the rivalry between their two families. They both race as they are: Max is a serious and methodic guy, whereas Victoria is impulsive and mischievous.
