SOMOS Films: We’re co-producing the comedy film Amor en el Aire with Rodando Films

Amor en el aire de SOMOS Films
SOMOS Films and Rodando Films C.A, will produce the comedy film Amor en el Aire, in Colombia, with the support of the Bogota production company TRAMA AC. With a stellar multinational cast and Carlos Daniel Malavé as its director, scriptwriter, and production, the film begins filming on Wednesday 23. It will take eight weeks between pre-production and shooting.
Amor en el Aire portrays the story of Jimmy, a famous telenovela actor, with a long career of success, who finds himself too old for a leading man role and too young for a play as a dad. When his manager books him a role for a Mexican series and must travel to another country, he finds himself with the small problem that he suffers from the visceral terror of airplanes. Jimmy meets Andrea, a flight attendant who has always wanted to be a pilot and works hard for it. When she meets Jimmy, her first impression is that he seems somehow vain and silly, but little by little she falls in love with his flaws.
Starring Jean Paul Leroux and Paula Castaño, Amor en el Aire includes a cast of Colombian talents such as Julio César Herrera and Luly Bossa, as well as Argentine actress Lorena Meritano, among others.

Amor en el Aire adds up to the SOMOS Films portfolio, which already has 10 productions in the catalog, several of them that have been part of international film events and produced in different countries such as Mexico, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and others.
