The entertainment program Show Business, produced by Sierralta Entertainment, reaches 20 years on the air. The show begins a new phase with new format, new set and new screen: starting July 2nd, it will air on Vme in the U.S. at 7pm.Miguel Sierralta, president and CEO of Sierralta Entertainment, spoke to PRODU, about the last two decades of the show.Show Business started in Venezuela 20 years ago as an entertainment insert of newspaper El Nacional, and four months later became a TV show hosted by Raquel Lares. A year and a half later, we started producing it in Miami with Carolina Cristancho as host. In the span of several years, the Miami show was distributed in over 22 countries. We had a three year hiatus and four years ago we started this new phase, said Sierralta.He adds that the upcoming series premiering on Vme is a version Show Business Extra: a one-hour entertainment magazine with correspondents in Mexico, Colombia, New York and Los Angeles. Well have musical numbers, interviews, reports and guest journalists, said Sierralta.It gives me great satisfaction to be able to have this show for 20 years as an independent producer. Additionally, artists, media and the industry have recognized the show as an important launch pad for their careers, he added.As of today, the show has 2,365 episodes with over 1,500 guests. We have a significant library with most of the episodes already in digital form, said Sierralta.

Sierralta Entertainment launches Show Business Extra on channel 8 Gentv in Miami Oct. 1
