Televisa shot, through the production company Planeta Films, the entries to its new story in short telenovela format:Las Amazonas (72×60′), produced by Salvador Mejía which will be aired starting May 16th at 7:30pm on El Canal de las Estrellas, replacing Corazón que Miente by Mapat. The shooting was done in a former ranch in Puebla. The story resumes some elements from the original version, which has the same title, produced by Venevision in 1985.”We are making a short version, with film techniques and that has allowed us to be more natural and congruent regarding contents. This production is going to Mexico first and then will be deployed on other platforms. We are witnessing a new age in TV, in which content narrative is changing, expressed Mejía.He highlighted that being a short story will enable them to have greater opportunity to consolidate in the audience’s taste and for us, the challenge is to target the dramatic impact in few episodes.Las Amazonas includes main actors like Victoria Ruffo, César Évora, Dana García, Grettel Valdés and Andrés Palacios. A month away from starting shootings, this short telenovela will have the locations of Puebla and Mexico City as their main stages.
