SubHysteria will be shown in Los Angeles next Monday, June 27th

After premiering in Latin America, SubHysteria arrives in the U.S. The film was directed by Leonard Zeling and produced and co-written by Javier Pérez-Karam and Roberto Alcazar (partner and creative executive of the Revolución agency in New York).“We expect to secure distribution mainly in the U.S. We already have DVD distribution in Latin America, United Kingdom and Ireland, but there is still a lot of ground to cover. For such a small film, to be in theaters is extremely costly. The budget needed is usually as much as or greater than the cost of the movie itself. That’s why we are looking at selling SubHysteria straight to TV, said Alcazar to PRODU. The film had its world premiere last year in Venezuela and had US$213 thousand in revenue, with an actual movie cost of US$160 thousand. The drama is based on a small group of people of different walks of life who are trapped underground in the subway. After long hours being confined, the prospect of dying takes over the passengers’ emotional stability. SubHysteria is a film that shows the different behaviors human beings display in the face of death. The film {SubHysteria;www.youtube.com/watch?v=o721Bu-un1k&feature=player_embedded} will be screened in Los Angeles next Monday, June 27th during the 18th edition of Film Courage Interactive.
