PXTV: We began to produce content in 4K for on demand

The channel PXTV, distributed by Alterna’TV, presented in Mexico the series Maisha (12×30’), that debuted last week, to boost ecotourism in Mexico and Latin America. Its COO, Óscar Mercado announced that production in 4K for different contents had already begun and that currently they have more than ten original productions aimed at extreme sports.“We plan to launch an average of six original productions per year. Currently we have ten original contents on screen and in September we will launch the new show, Misión Centroamérica, as well as the second season of Maisha. We will also venture into 4K for on demand. This will allow us to raise our monthly growth, which is currently 10%, reaching 10 million homes; the expectation is to close 2015 with 70 million”, said Mercado.Regarding the launching of the series Maisha, he highlighted that it is an original idea aimed at boosting ecotourism in Mexico and Latin America by “carrying out activities that encourage the audience to improve their health”. It is aired in the 14 countries PXTV is present in.Maisha presents four friends addicted to adrenalin who travel all around Mexico looking for unexplored places where they can do action sports. To get to those places, they will seek support from the towns they visit.
