Pongalo has launched its on-demand subscription service on Amazon Channels available to Prime members.
The service, which will cost US$3,99 monthly, will feature new exclusive, original telenovelas, including Corazón Traicionado y Piel Salvaje, both co-produced by RCTV Productions.
“We’re honored to be a premiere Latino service on Amazon Channels for Prime members,” said Pongalo chairman Rich Hull and CEO Jorge Granier in a statement. “This relationship validates our work to build a robust Spanish-language content offering, as well as our continued commitment to US Latinos, who make-up the fastest growing demographic in America.”
With new content being added regularly, Pongalo is anchored by the greatest classic telenovelas of all time from Mexico, Venezuela, and Colombia.
It is also Amazon’s first Latino subscription service and will join Amazon Channel´s lineup that includes HBO, Showtime, Starz, and others.
