Alas Rotas
Pasiones will be premiering an exciting slate of novelas this month in both the U.S. and Latin America to kick off the New Year. Titles include Alas Rotas (Broken Wings), Rosa Negra (Black Rose) and Verdades Secretas (Hidden Truths).
Viewers can enjoy the U.S. premiere of the highly popular international Turkish drama, Alas Rotas, which follows the hopeful tale of a mother of four struggling to provide for her children after the death of her husband. Determined to make ends meet in the midst of dire circumstances, the family will find power in the love they share to forge ahead, even as the odds are stacked against them. The series, a rating success in Turkey, premiered on January 7th and airs Monday-Friday at 6pm ET / 3pm ET.
In Latin America, Pasiones will air two new premieres on January 15th, beginning with the romantic Turkish drama Rosa Negra, which centers around a beautiful bride and the challenges she faces upon discovering her husband’s double life after his sudden disappearance. A smash hit in its country of origin, the series features a stellar cast and received high praise from international audiences.
Verdades Secretas, the second Latin American premiere on the channel, is a Brazilian drama and one of the most successful telenovelas of Rede Globo.
“The most successful telenovelas create a daily viewing habit, gripping viewers with plots and storylines that completely immerse them in the lives and dramatic circumstances of the characters they follow and keep audiences coming back for more,” said Francisco Gimenez, SVP and general manager of Cable Networks for Hemisphere Media Group, Inc., the network’s parent company.
