The channel Pasiones is celebrating its third anniversary with a new on-air look produced by Upstairs with original soundtrack by Vinicio Ludovic.The new image reflects the telenovela world by recreating classic novela scenes in an eye-catching and dynamic presentation. Thanks to the channels excellent performance and to celebrate our anniversary, we decided to update and modernize our look. Were are closing 2011 with many reasons to celebrate, and we are preparing to continue satisfying our audience in 2012, said Juan Pablo Santos, general manager of Pasiones.For the second quarter of this year, the channel premiered in the U.S. hits like El clon (TV Globo, Brazil), Dos caras (TV Globo, Brazil), and Decisiones (Telemundo, U.S. Hispanic). This year in the U.S., in the third quarter the channel boosted its ratings about 77% compared to the first quarter. In October, it ranked 10th among Hispanic pay-TV channels for the first time in the channels history. It grew 113% compared to the first quarter of 2011 (Monday through Friday, early fringe, 4 to 7pm), according to Rentrak TV Essentials, 2011.
