The OTT plataform PantaYA will have series as of the second half of the year. “We started with movies, because it is the main dish we were saving and they have been absolutely successful. However, we want to make strategic alliances to bring the best series to our subscribers and we want the first launch to be impressive,” explained Jim McNamara, VP of Hemisphere Media Group.
McNamara expressed they are interested in finding partners who produce series in Latin America. He stated that making original content is a sure task for the future.
Edward Allen, COO of PantaYA, said that the US is a giant market full of opportunities and with demand for content in Spanish. “Today there is no premium product for this market. That is what we are going to offer.”
PantaYA’s most recent titles are: Tres Idiotas, Un Padre No Tan Padre, Everybody Loves Somebody and the Peruvian film Guerrero.
