Once TV México: It is an obligation for public TV to make room for independent productions

Once TV México and production house Canana joined forces again to introduce their new fiction series Alguien Más, catering to youngsters with real topics they can relate to. The series premieres next Friday, September 13th at 10pm, with re-runs Sundays at 10pm.During the presentation at the channel’s facilities, Enriqueta Cabrera, director of Once TV, emphasized the importance of joining the global trend of original series production. “We believe Canal Once is at the forefront of this type of content among Latin America’s public stations,” said Cabrera. “It is an obligation for public TV to make room for independent productions to develop this type of content. These are young people working in a very professional manner,” she added.For Julián Levín, Director of Canana, “series provide a different way of watching TV: they give a different dynamic to the scripts and scenes that we want to portray.”The cast of Alguien Más is headed by Ana Serradilla, Fernando Álvarez and Flor Edwarda Gurrola. It’s directed by Aarón Fernández, Fernando Frías and Beto Hinojosa. The story revolves around Arturo Meyer, a 30-year-old man who, after his breakup with Irene Cárdenas, takes a deep dive in search for love. Things get complicated when Irene decides to come back and recover what she lost.
