Olympusat to launch channels in Latin America for the first time

Francisco Sibauste, a veteran in the industry who has helped to develop paid TV on the continent, is now with the American company Olympusat to set out for new business in Latin America, specifically, Over-The-Top (OTT) solutions and content on HD channels. “It’s one of the most thrilling moments in the industry because it will revolutionize the way in which we watch television” said Sibauste, the VP of Affiliates for US and International at Olympusat. Sibauste was part of the team that launched the channel HTV, as well as Bloomberg in Brazil. He also worked as VP of Affiliates for CTG, Cisneros TV Group, among other companies. Currently, he’s traveling through the region meeting with principle media groups to create partnerships and offer the structure and solutions of Olympusat, which at the moment has a total of 27 signals through different platforms and markets in the US. These include TV Chile, Momentum, Gran Cine, Cine Mexicano and ¡Sorpresa!, to name a few. In an interview with PRODU, Sibauste explained Olympusat’s purposes and the 10 HD channels with familiar content that are prepared for the region, as are the services of distribution and commercialization of Latino channels in the US market and the new solutions for content through all platforms.
