Before the end of 2015, Olympusat will announce two or three of the main distribution partners of their OTT product Vemox. These are great operators (MVPDs) that will market and label the product on their platform. As you know, Vemox is a B2B product with more than 100 channels in Spanish, 30 of which are available in high definition. Currently, they have 5 thousand hours of VOD, but must grow at a pace of a thousand additional hours per month, told PRODU, Tom Mohler, Olympusat CEO.He also mentioned the production of original films for their channels. They have already made around 200 and are currently producing 5 per month (72 a year), but the intention for 2016 is to produce 220 a year, a rate of 10 per month. Most are filmed in Mexico and the main Spanish-speaking countries. Mohler also mentioned the new Olympusat signal, Tele N, currently distributed by AT&T and Time Warner Cable in the US and other minor operators. He stated that the channel is a mix of telenovelas licensed for prime time and early fringe, and classic programs, property of Olympusat, which have been restored in 4K quality, but are aired in HD. The Caracol TV series Pablo Escobar, el Patrón del Mal, has been truly successful on the channel, according to Rentrak.
