Olympusat, Inc. announces the expansion of their HD suite, with networks that range across all genres, demos, and countries of origin. The new expanded suite will offer a vast collection of over 35 HD networks.Olympusat’s owned and operated HD networks, branded as the Ultra HD Plex (16 channels and counting) is led by a movie suite, which includes Ultra Mex – an independent and contemporary Mexican film network, Ultra Film – the first HD movie network dedicated to airing modern films from around the world dubbed into Spanish, Ultra Cine – featuring award-winning and original films from Mexico, Spain and Latin America, and Ultra Clásico – a network that features digitally re-mastered movies from the Golden Age of Mexican and Latin American Cinema, fully restored in HD. Additional Ultra HD Plex networks include channels for men, women, and children, as well as programs that feature music, comedy, documentaries, news, and sports. In addition to the Ultra HD Plex, Olympusat has enhanced their HD suite by working with leading networks from Mexico and Latin America for distribution in the U.S. market. Olympusat’s HD managed networks include Televen América – the top entertainment broadcaster in Venezuela to A and B households, Canal 13 de Chile – Chile’s leading family entertainment television network, Puerto Rico Network – offering the best public television programming from Puerto Rico, Sun Channel – the leading travel and lifestyle entertainment network from Latin America, Canal 44 de Juárez – the award-winning television broadcaster from the Mexican border city of Juárez, HMX – El Canal del Hombre Moderno – a men’s channel featuring sports, game shows, and entertainment for adult males, as well as the recently added Canal 10 (TEN) de Honduras – the leading news and entertainment broadcaster from Honduras.“According to Nielsen, we know that Latinos prefer HD 2-1 over SD. 61% of total Latino homes are Spanish-language dominant, with 78% dedicating their TV viewing to Spanish-language content.
