NBC News’ award winning journalist and the news anchor of Today, Natalie Morales, will host the program

NuvoTV will broadcast the television special We Decide: Latinos and the 2012 Election exploring how the 2012 presidential candidates are tackling key issues in the Hispanic communities of the nation. The program, set to air Sunday August 19 at 8pm, is the first product to emerge from a partnership between NuvoTV and NBC News’s Peacock Production.Moderated by NBC News’ award winning journalist Natalie Morales, the news anchor of Today, We Decide: Latinos and the 2012 Election will cover issues including the impact of the Dream Act, immigration reform, the economy and job creation, among other topics. “Latinos in America are a crucial component for presidential candidates in this year’s election, and could well be the deciding factor in determining who is our next president,” said Michael Schwimmer, CEO of nuvoTV. “Mainstream media has not adequately addressed the issues facing America’s Latino community in the context of this election. nuvoTV’s town hall will provide a unique venue for Latinos to amplify their voice across the country in English, so that the widest possible audience can appreciate Latinos’ perspectives on the issues.”The show will feature a panel of experts and political figures including Governor Bill Richardson; Congressman Luis Gutierrez; Janet Murguía, president and CEO of the National Council of La Raza; Jennifer Korn, executive director of the American Action Network and comedian Paul Rodriguez, among others.
