Non Stop: Santa Evita is a milestone because we had never made a period series that is particularly ambitious

According to Patricio Rabuffetti, CEO of Non Stop, maker and co-producer of Santa Evita, together with Disney and Ventanarosa (owned by the Mexican Salma Hayek Pinault and José Tamez), the series is a milestone for the production company, since they had never made a period program, nor such an ambitious one, and it is the first series that brings them closer to Hollywood.

He recalled that Mariana Pérez (who at that time was in FOX) gave him the project of the series when the company had not been acquired by Disney and he immediately fell in love with the story and joined as co-producer, in addition to providing production services.

“We are thrilled because we ended up creating a potent and very powerful international project, with an amazing casting, as well as the people who were behind the cameras: art, photography, direction, it was a true pleasure to work with all of them”.

He added that the complicated parts in terms of production were the period automobiles, costumes, and settings, as well as 1,300 extras and 120 actors. “In addition to this, the story was intended to be told in an interesting way so that it engages the viewer and not just for him to watch the episode as it sometimes happens in the light of the huge amount of content offered”.

He assured that the series will not have a second season.

To end, he thanked the Disney team: Diego Lerner, Fernando Barbosa, Leonardo Aranguibel, and Pérez for having a bet, trusting, maintaining, and made the project grow even more, when it was already an important one, and thanked all the Non Stop team who rose to the occasion.
