Netflix: Our focus is set on generating original products for LatAm

2015 will be a year of new productions and new seasons of their original contents. That is why Cindy Holland, Original Content VP at Netflix, highlighted that much of her energy as a company is set on generating new products from and for Latin America, which is why her offer for this year includes productions made by Mexicans, such as Club de Cuervos by Alazraki Entertainment.”We are trying to include characters which the Latin American audience identifies with. That is one of the key markets for us. We have a great variety of products in Spanish and English which work perfectly for this region” she said. New seasons of series such as Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, and new productions like Narcos, which is shot in Colombia or Club de Cuervos and Bloodline are part of this platforms offer for 2015 and are made with the highest quality standards, according to Holland.”When we launched the series House of Cards, people did not understand the web format we offered, but it is important for us to maintain the quality because that way the plots of stories in platforms such as the Internet is raised, which is similar to the work done in film. This makes Internet an excellent option to take high quality products to the audience” she ended.
