NCTC members elect four directors to Board

At the Annual Members Meeting of NCTC in San Diego, CA on July 29, members elected four directors to NCTC’s board. Three of the four board members are new to the board and one is a current director.Re-elected for a three-year term was John Higgnbotham, Superintendent, Frankfort Plant Board; John was appointed to the board in 2011 to fill an unexpired term. Newly elected to the board are Gordon Bourne, VP of Programming, Suddenlink; Jim Holanda, CEO, Choice Telecom, Grande and RCN; and Brian Lynch, president, Antietam Cable Television and VP of Cable Operations, Schurz Communications.NCTC’s board consists of fourteen voting directors. NCTC president and CEO Rich Fickle is a non-voting board member, as is Tom Gleason of Clarity Telecom. In addition to the board, other NCTC members also serve on a technical advisory board and a marketing advisory group. Following the 2013 election, the NCTC board members are:Edward T. Holleran, Jr., Atlantic Broadband; NCTC Chairman William C. Beaty, Jr., Comporium Communications; NCTC Vice Chairman Gerald W. McKenna, Cable One, Inc., NCTC Immediate Past Chairman Gordon Bourne, Suddenlink; Rich Fickle, NCTC (non-voting); Tom Gleason, Clarity Telecom (non-voting); John Higginbotham, Frankfort Plant Board; Chris Hilliard, USA Companies; Jim Holanda, Choice Telecom; Grande, RCN; Brian Lynch, Antietam; Brad Mefferd, Buckeye Cablevision; Robert (Bob) Ormberg, GCI, Inc.; Jeffrey Ross, Armstrong Cable Services; Wayne Schattenkerk, Wave Division Holdings; Gary Shorman, Eagle Communications and, Peter C. Smith, Wide Open West.
