NBCUniversal named Kevin MacLellan Chairman, Global Distribution and International

Steve Burke, CEO NBCUniversal has announced that Kevin MacLellan will expand his leadership role to become Chairman, Global Distribution and International, adding oversight of Domestic Television and New Media Sales to his current role leading NBCU’s international businesses.

Since 2013, MacLellan has served as Chairman, NBCUniversal International, responsible for day-to-day operations and international expansion for NBCUniversal businesses outside of North America, with a focus on increasing non-US revenues and driving business growth.

In a move towards increased direct-to-consumer initiatives, MacLellan oversaw the launch of Hayu in March 2016 in UK, Ireland and Australia, an innovative new reality-focused next-generation SVOD service.

Remaining in London, his expanded role allows NBCUniversal International to take a more strategic global approach and to be agile in response to the changing trends of the media landscape, with increased synergies across the broad international portfolio.

Kevin MacLellan will act as Chair of the upcoming Royal Television Society London Conference on Tuesday, September 27th, at which Steve Burke will deliver the Conference Keynote.
