FOX International Channels Latin America is concentrating efforts in the production and acquisition of Spanish-language versions of successful American series such as ER, Malcolm in the Middle and Breaking Bad, among others.These productions will join the lineup of MundoFOX, said Diego Reck, SVP of Marketing and Creative Services of FIC LatAm, during a conference at the Jornadas de Cable show. On November 4th, the channel launches with Dos Lunas, a co-production with Argos -a Mexican production company with which the company is also co-producing Fortuna and Las Trampas del Deseo.Carlos Martínez, president of FIC LatAm, told PRODU the goal is to increase the number of hours of original productions. To this end, the company is beefing up its development team. FIC LatAm has two production houses (FOXTelecolombia in Colombia and FOX Toma 1 in Argentina), it has a team dedicated to setting up production and co-production models, and with the launch of MundoFOX, it has an outlet to broadcast all these productions. We built the entire chain, added Martínez.Regarding FOX Life, the fusion with Utilísima which also launches in Latin America on November 4th, Martínez said that with the 600 hours of original programming plus the acquired programming, the channel is robust.
