Luisa Varona, executive producer and VP of Programming of mun2, has been with the channel for eight years and has seen first-hand the evolution of its screen since its re-launch in 2005.“It has been very interesting because I joined right when things were changing and now we’re entering a new phase. mun2 has grown a lot. We reach 40 million homes thanks to our hard work. We’ve improved our ratings in several daytime slots, and our realities, such as I Love Jenni, have been successful. Now we’re entering a new era with entertainment and sports,” Varona told PRODU.She pointed out the channel has been collaborating with Deportes Telemundo for four years, offering soccer, Nascar and other sports events. In partnership with Telemundo Internacional, the channel now launched El Show De Érika Casi Late Night.“Featuring this show on our screen is an opportunity of providing our audience new, fresh and young content. I believe Érika has the potential of reaching our U.S. Hispanic audience. It’s something we had never done and we think she is the ideal talent to break into this genre,” added Varona.
