Multimedios TV debuts on Charter Communications cable systems in California, Tennessee and Louisiana.Responsive to its customers in cities large and small, Charter Communications has chosen Multimedios Television as a key part of its expanded Spanish-language offerings to its growing Hispanic subscriber base across the country.Service began launches on March 8 in California, including the cities of Long Beach, Riverside, San Bernardino, Whittier, San Gabriel Valley, Cerrito, Big Bear and others.“We understand the importance of making culturally relevant programming available to our Hispanic customers and Multimedios Televisión will certainly enhance their viewing experience,” said Ester Soria, Charter’s Marketing manager for Multicultural Programming in California. Broadcasting news, entertainment, sports, fashion and children’s programming from its home base in Mexico’s industrial capital of Monterrey, Multimedios Televisión is a ratings juggernaut in northern Mexico and is highly sought-after by Hispanics living in the U.S.Multimedios TV features programs such as Méteme Gol (Score Me a Goal) and Mitad y Mitad (The Other Half).“Multimedios is thrilled about the new launches and is extremely pleased to partner with Charter Communications in reaching so many families in California and across the United States,” said Gustavo Mena, a former distribution executive at CBS Cable and Telemundo/NBC who handles Multimedios’ cable and satellite distribution in the U.S.Besides Charter Multimedios Networks distribution partners include Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, AT&T U-verse and Verizon FiOS TV.
