Most complex task is generating solid packages

Leonardo Zimbrón, Head of Fiction Programming at Endemol Shine Boomdog, stated that the priorities to produce in 2021 include the projects they developed in 2020, as a result of their alliances with Kate del Castillo, Gastón Pavlovich, and Touché Films. They also developed together with Redrum a proposal they qualify as “very interesting”, along with productions together with Eugenio Derbez’s 3Pas Studios and Jessy Terrero’s Cinema Giants. They are currently working on the packages, with the aim to adjust production times, as well as talent and team agendas.

“The most complex task we now have is to generate solid packages that include talent behind and in front of the camera, who ensure the quality of the project. We are facing a market with a huge number of projects, in which the difference is marked by the talent involved, in addition to the story,” he said.

They also have the already announced projects: En Los Tacones De Eva, the story of Antonieta Rivas from Mercado, Hijos de Tigre, San Juan Diego and El Asesor. “They are all live projects, which in many cases we had time to rewrite and take them to a ripening point”.
He states that this 2021 they will face a market with a great deal of competition and good projects because there was great development in 2020, which will continue to raise the quality of Latin American production.

He recalled that it is important not to put our guards down and the challenge is to continue focusing on what we learned in 2020.
