Diego Piasek de MGM
MGM International TV is developing a series based on Gonzalo Demaría’s bestselling novel Cacería (The Hunt). The series is written by Demaría and Javier Van de Couter (Historia de un Clan, La Celebración, Implosion) with Van de Courter also serving as showrunner and director.
Demaría and Van de Couter will serve as EPs on the project alongside Erika Halvorsen (Pequeña Victoria, Amar Después de Amar, El Hilo Rojo), who is currently under a first-look deal with MGM.
MGM International TV’s SVP of International Development Diego Piasek said, “Gonzalo, Javier, and Erika are three of the most prestigious writers in Argentina today, and we are humbled to have this rare opportunity to bring them all together to collaborate on Cacería.”
Van de Couter added: “Cacería is a powerful and necessary story in these times when discrimination still continues today. I am very excited to be working with Diego and his team, along with artists like Gonzalo Demaria and Erika Halvorsen.”
