La versión original de Niño santo actualmente emite su segunda temporada en Once TV de México
Mexican production company Canana (Diego Luna, Gael García Bernal and Pablo Cruz), in partnership with Steven Spielbergs Amblin TV, will adapt the series Niño Santo for A&E in the U.S. Jeff Pinkner (Fringe) is the executive producer/showrunner.The creative team from the original series is involved in the adaptation. Mauricio Katz and Pedro Peirano, who created the series with Pablo Cruz, will write the screenplay. They will also be executive producers along with Cruz, Luna and García Bernal of Canana, and Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey of Amblin TV.The original version of Niño Santo is currently in its second season on Once TV of Mexico (co-producer of the original series with Canana). The product was sold to Turner in Latin America and to Univision in the U.S. Hispanic market. Chris Philips Sierra/ Engine will distribute the series and will be showcasing it at Mipcom 2014.Niño Santo is the story of a group of young doctors sent to vaccinate a remote town that is home to an unusual cult led by an enigmatic medicine man. Driven by curiosity and in the name of science, the doctors join the group. When they witness what the miracle boy can do, they start to question science and consider faith.
