Univision Communications Inc. announced the appointment of Marshall Cohen as executive vice president of Corporate Research. In his new position Cohen will be responsible for defining the direction for all audience, programming and marketing research for all Univision networks, station groups, Univision Radio and Digital platforms. He will take over day-to-day activities for the Corporate Research team. He will be based in New York and report to Kevin Conroy, president, Digital and Enterprise Development, Univision Communications Inc. Marshall brings a wealth of marketing, research, digital media and advertising expertise to Univision. He has a deep understanding of the digital media and technology landscape, and his background as a leader in consumer research and corporate strategic plan development for interactive organizations across the media spectrum will strengthen our existing research capabilities and provide new and actionable insights across our company, said Conroy. Cohen is a renowned marketing and brand strategist with expertise in interactive and traditional media, marketing research, strategy and consulting. Prior to joining Univision, Cohen was a partner at Pilot Group, a New York-based private equity firm that specializes in innovative companies that have established themselves as trendsetters in their space.
