Global content creator, producer and distributor Endemol Shine Group announced plans to further increase its commitment to the Spanish and Portuguese speaking markets with a new strategic focus across genres, including a renewed drive into scripted and digital video programming, starting in early 2016.Laurens Drillich, currently CEO of Endemol Shine Netherlands, will become president of Endemol Shine Latino, reporting to Endemol Shine North America co-Chairmen and co-CEOs, Cris Abrego and Charlie Corwin. Laurens has previously overseen Endemols business in both the Hispanic U.S. market and Mexico.Laurens will establish and head up a new central hub in Miami that will connect and oversee Endemol Shine Groups business across Hispanic U.S. and Mexico, as well as all production operations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru and format sales activities across Latin America, pooling creativity and resources across markets.CEO and creative director for Latin America, Martin Kweller will be creative director for the new hub, whilst continuing to oversee Endemol Shine Argentina as Chairman and CEO, and Latin America regionally as Operations director.Endemol Shine Latinos co-executive vice presidents Daniel Rodríguez and Mauricio Piccone, will continue in their roles, respectively overseeing sales and programming initiatives in the Hispanic U.S. market and Mexico.
