Telemundo Media announced that the global hit singing competition {La Voz Kids;http://www.nbcuniversal.presscentre.com/content/detail.aspx?ReleaseID=15899&NewsAreaId=2} will premiere on Sunday, May 5th at 7pm. Hosted by renowned television host, model and fashion mogul Daisy Fuentes, and entertainment anchor Jorge Bernal, La Voz Kids will give Telemundos audience the opportunity to witness how expert celebrity music coaches Paulina Rubio, Prince Royce and Roberto Tapia discover and develop the music stars of the future. The La Voz Kids innovative format features three stages of competition: the first begins with the blind auditions, then the battle rounds, and finally, the live performance shows. During the blind auditions, the decisions from the music coaches are based solely on voice. The coaches have their back to the participants and hear them perform, but they don’t get to see them. If a coach is impressed by the participants voice, he/she pushes a button to select the participant for his/her team. At this point, the coachs chair will swivel so that he/she can face the participant he/she has selected. If more than one coach pushes their button, the power then shifts to the participant to choose which coach they want to work with. If no coach pushes their button, the participant is eliminated from the competition. In the final performance phase of the competition, the top participants from each team will compete weekly against each other. The television audience and the coaches will decide who will stay in the competition. In the end, one will be named the winner of La Voz Kids and will receive a recording contract and a cash prize to support his/her education.La Voz Kids is a presentation of Talpa Media USA Inc. The show is created by John de Mol, who will executive-produce along with Stijn Bakkers and Katrina Fernandez.
