The most recent version of La usurpadora produced by Televisa, starring Gaby Spanic and Fernando Colunga, has outdelivered its sister network Univision in the morning schedule within the Hispanic market of the US. Airing on TeleFutura, La usurpadora tells the story of Doña Paula Martinez, played by Nuria Bages, who suffers a grave sickness, and her daughter, played by Gabriela Spanic, who finds herself desperate before the situation with little money to pay medical bills. Her life changes when she meets Paola Bracho, also played by Gabriela Spanic, who looks almost identical to her.
