KlowdTV: Our mission is to provide a platform for cord-cutters

Maribel Ramos-Weiner| 3 de diciembre de 2015

The Internet video streaming service, {KlowdTV;www.produ.com/television/videos/index.html?noti=10233}, was founded in 2014 by two US satellite TV veterans, Bill O’Hara (Chief Executive Officer) and Michael Grams (Chief Financial Officer). The platform has grown so much that this week it went from having four micro-packages in English to offering eight micro-packages with the incorporation of four channel options in Spanish. The options for Hispanics are Mexican, Colombian, General Spanish and Sports in Spanish. The platform is compatible with Android, Roku, iOS, Amazon Fire, Chromecast and smart TVs.As they explained to PRODU, O´Hara and Nick Ilev -Chief Marketing Officer- KlowdTV does not require subscribers to purchase a basic package to be able to choose the options he is interested in. “They can choose the first package of 10 channels that they are interested in for $5 a month, and from there on, each additional option is $3 a month. In this new update, we are also launching a DVR function. We are building such an accessible platform that even people who had never seen video streaming will now. It is a great solution and it is very flexible”, they announced. They added: “Our mission is to provide a platform for cord cutters. It cannot be the same as cable. It is a new model. It is very inexpensive and secondarily gives them the choice, the advantage over the competition.”Among the Hispanic channels that have already joined KlowdTV are: Azteca America, Stereo | Siempre + Música, Tele VID, Telemedellín, Zoom, A Tres Series, Antena 3, Canal América, Canal Antiestres, ¡HOLA! TV, MIS Movies, SupereÑe, Tele Romántica, Trendy, AZ Cinema, AZ Clic, AZ Corazón, PXTV HD, CB TV Michoacán, Promovisión, TeleFórmula, TVC Latino, VideoRola, AYM Sports, LAS Latin American Sports, among others.More info. {www.klowdtv.com}
