Journalist Alejandra Ortiz joins Telemundo Las Vegas as News co-anchor for Noticiero Telemundo Las Vegas

Telemundo Las Vegas/KBLR has named Alejandra Ortiz News co-anchor for Noticiero Telemundo Las Vegas, which airs weekdays at 5:30pm, 6pm and 11pm. Ortiz joins a dynamic team of journalists who deliver the local news and information that Spanish-language viewers in Las Vegas need to stay ahead. Ortiz will make her on-air debut on Monday, March 28.“Alejandra is an experienced journalist with a proven track record of reporting and delivering breaking news and information to Spanish-language audiences and we’re excited she’s joining our news team and returning to Telemundo. We have a responsibility to deliver the news and information that our viewers want so they can make the decisions that will help their families flourish and stay safe. This sense of duty drives our day-to-day work and we’re glad that Alejandra shares this mission with us and cannot wait for our viewers to meet her,” said Ramiro López, president and general manager, Telemundo Las Vegas.“It’s very exciting and humbling to return to the Telemundo family as a News anchor for Telemundo Las Vegas after Telemundo offered me my first opportunity to work in broadcast journalism as a network news intern seven years ago,” said Ortiz. Ortiz joins Telemundo Las Vegas after working for CM& — the Colombian news network that was launched in the early 1990’s — for the past four years.
