Garcia: In the past few years, clients have sought more product integrations
During the WAPA TV 2012 upfront held last December 7th at the San Juan Convention Center in Puerto Rico, Jonathan Garcia, VP of Sales, spoke to PRODU about the channels projects for 2012, as well as what it expects to offer advertisers in terms of content.Garcia said that among the new original productions for next year, some of the most noteworthy projects include Idol Puerto Rico and Idol kids, as well as Minute to win it.Regarding advertising revenue, Garcia said product integrations have grown significantly. In the past few years, our clients have sought to feature their products more and demanded more integrations. We are an independent channel with lots of local production. This facilitates executing client integrations and promotions, he added.Expectations for 2012 are high for the executive, who says this coming election year will bring more money to the marketplace, but we have also been the number one channel in Puerto Rico for three straight years and that give us a strong image. We are seen as a secure investment.
