As part of its restructuring process, Imagina US has underpinned its three business areas: sports rights, production services and content generation.Óscar López, executive VP of the company told PRODU that they relaunched the content generation area of the company where they recently finished the production of ¡Qué Noche! with Angélica and Raúl for Telemundo. “Both Telemundo and we are happy with the development of the program. We hope there is a second season,” he expressed. He also said that in this line, they have a couple of projects in store that are well oriented and will soon be announced. He mentioned that they offer production services to their DIRECTV,¡HOLA! TV and beIN SPORTS clients. With ¡HOLA! TV they just renewed their contract for three more years. In the sports rights unit, they consolidated their relationships with the main sports federations they have the rights of. They also bought for 5 years the exclusive rights to broadcast the del Caribbean Series baseball tournament. On the other hand, they opened an office in New York, led by Juan Pablo Santos, senior VP of Content and New Business, where they will soon have play out, post production, connectivity and satellite broadcast facilities. From there they will start to offer service to their client TyC Sports to distribute their international channel and support them in the coverage of the Centennial America Cup. “The idea is to continue growing in this part of the US that we think is a central point for media,” he ended.
